Great Day we must consider Hell!

Great Day we must consider Hell lest we find ourselves in that most dreadful, fiery, mournful and Christless place!  Many Christians have told me if I continue to preach repentance and about Hell, I will preach myself out of a job.  I can tell you I would rather stay out of Hell and warn others how they can stay out of Hell than to avoid the issue of Hell!  Does denying a place called Hell change the fact of its existence?  No!  Can you deny the existence of Evil? Honestly you must say No!  So many today in the Christian Church want to hear only about the benefits of Christ and most do not want to hear about the consequence of refusing to repent and Trust Him.  God Loves us and would never send a good person to Hell.  Only preach on sunshine and lollipops so people will continue to come to Church.  Tell me how good I am.  Tell me how to feel better about myself.  Tell me how I can know myself better.  Tell me how to boost my self-esteem.  Tell me how to love myself more.  These are the Sermons most Churches preach in America today.  Listen to the Word of God and do what it says: John 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son(Jesus) has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.”  Matthew 4:17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.” Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars– their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”  1Corinthians 6:9-10 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.  Acts 2:37-38 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  I urge you to listen to the Words of God so Hell will not be your final destination!  So am I preaching myself out of a job?  I sincerely hope so!  For the Holy Spirit compels me to speak the Truth regardless of your response!  The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Spiritual eyes!

If you were to open your spiritual eyes for a moment I would like to share some Prophecy.  This past week was very interesting.  We saw economic turmoil in our country that compares if not exceeds that of the Great Depression.  The politicians in Washington have literally put our country up for sale.  The Globalization of our economy and safety is almost totally complete.  We are now dependant on other nations for stability.  Our politicians have sold our country to Nations who despise us and would rather see us pass away, never to be heard of again!  In my short lifetime I have seen the very foundation of our Constitutional Republic crumble.  If a Nation rejects God and the Morals sent by Him, namely the Ten Commandments, then He will reject that Nation.  We live in a society that thinks we get our freedom from Government and not God.  Look at who is in power in our Government.  Politicians are elected by the people.  People always vote for politicians who closely represents their own beliefs.  I know from personal experience that sometimes we have to choose the lesser of two evils.  We live in a society that is ok with religion as long as it is not Christianity.  You utter the name of Jesus and immediately you will have opposition.  Anyone can pray to any deity except for Jesus.   We live in a society that thinks it is ok to murder unborn babies(48 million since 1973).  A society that thinks homosexuality is an alternative life style.  We should know from Scripture, if we have no foundation, we will fall.  The Constitution is clear as to where our freedom come from.  Human rights comes from our Creator. The right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are the foundation.  Without God there is no freedom or a foundation.  We see America fading from  power.  If you do not believe this then let me ask you, can a Nation without finances have any power to police the World?  Does America have any credit in the World?  America is not only Morally bankrupt but is broke.  America has 52 Trillion dollars in debt.  America is not found in Scripture as being a World power before the Return of Christ.   America is now controlled by men and women who want us to be one with the World.  They want one global economy, one global religion and one global leader.  Sound familiar?   The Bible says, Revelation 13:14-18  Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.  He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.   He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number. His number is 666.  This week the United Nations said that there needs to be one global currency and one global leader.  China came out this week and said there definitely needs to be a global currency.  We are seeing this prophecy coming more in focus.  The anti-christ does not gain power through military might but through economics.  The Bible is before its time.  It tells us what is going to happen before hand.  Yesterdays prophecies, today’s headlines.  Wow what a time to be alive and living for Jesus. Are you ready for the Return of Jesus?  If not get ready. Ask Him to forgive you and save you.  Repent of your sins and Trust in His Death on the Cross and His Resurrection from the dead.  Revelation 22:20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

Blessed are you who believe!

Blessed are you who believe and have not seen the Son of God! It is a wonderful blessing to hear this beatitude, but it is greater still to Believe in the One who spoke it! So many people in Jesus day wanted a sign or other manifestation of a miracle in order to believe the claims of Jesus. Is it any different in our day? Does any person reading this devotion know of someone who always wants a sign from God? If we examine this blessing from Jesus it is an assumption that it takes little or no faith to believe something you can see with your physical eyes. We know the Scripture that says “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Hebrews 11:6. A few suggestions to address to unbelievers who want a sign is this; Jesus is not a showman but the Savior. He is not a genie but a Master Teacher! Jesus is not a Miracle worker, He is the Miracle giver! He is not a mere man but the God Man. All of us believers need to show our Faith not in words alone but in actions. James 2:17-18 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. If we are to be True witnesses of the Life changing Power of Faith in Jesus we must not only talk the Christian talk but walk the Christian walk. Do as Jesus did! Jesus said if I be lifted up I will draw all men to Myself. Honor Jesus, love Jesus, speak about Jesus and most importantly obey Jesus. John 14:21 Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.”  The world is lost and needs to see Jesus in our lives! The greatest of all signs and miracles are the Transformed souls of believers. Be Blessed!

Christianity vs. Religion

I would like to share this article.
“Why are you Christians always sending missionaries overseas? People have their own culture, their own religion, why don’t you just leave them alone?!” This is one of the most common statements we hear as we lecture on college and university campuses throughout the United States and around the world. Students and faculty often jeeringly ask us, “What is so special about Christianity, different from every religion in the world?” To be sure, this is a very significant question; and probably one of the most significant questions that any Christian could ask themselves: what is so special about Jesus Christ?
Our family has a close friend named Lou. Lou grew up in the nation of Thailand and he was a Buddhist for the first 20 years of his life until he met some Christian missionaries who introduced him to Jesus Christ. If you were to ask Lou today, “What is so special about Jesus Christ and Christianity different from every other religion in the world?” Lou would share with you the following story:
“When I was a Buddhist I felt like I was in the middle of a large lake. I was drowning and I didn’t know how to swim. As I struggled to keep my head above water, I looked out towards the shore and saw Buddha walking up to the edge of the lake. I was going under for the third time, when suddenly Buddha began shouting out instructions to me, teaching me how to swim. Buddha shouted, ‘Kick your legs and paddle your arms.’ But then Buddha said, ‘Lou, you must make it to shore by yourself.’ As I desperately struggled to follow the instructions of Buddha, I looked out towards the shore again, but this time I saw Jesus Christ walking towards the edge of the lake. However, Jesus did not stop at the edge of the lake. Jesus dove into the lake and he swam out and rescued me! And once Jesus had brought me safely back to shore, then he taught me how to swim, so that I could go back and rescue others!” You see, this is the key difference between Christianity and every other religion in the world: Christianity is not a religion! What are religions? Religions are about human attempts to make our lives right with God, through our good works, sacrifices, rituals, and money. However, Christianity is not a religion. Christianity is about God entering human history to graciously save men and women through His Son Jesus Christ. It is only by placing our faith in Jesus Christ and submitting to his Lordship that we will be saved. Let us be sharing this Truth with everyone! Be Blessed in Jesus!

Something to think about!

Meditation is something that we all do even without knowledge. Most people ponder about the situation they are in, such as fiance, sickness, family, job, country condition and so forth. I would like to suggest meditating or pondering on things more elevated. Matthew 6:25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Do we not need to be lifted up? Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable– if anything is excellent or praiseworthy– think about such things. Can you think of any thing that fits in these categories? Consider Jesus and His Word, you will find nothing as lofty as His character. Be Blessed!
