10 Things God will not ask you at the Judgment

1). Did you do your best?

2). Did you try being a good person?

3). Did you obey my Commands?

4). Did you love?

5). Did you Trust my Son Jesus?

6). Did you go to Church?

7). Did you read your Bible?

8). Did you get Baptized?

9). Did you pray?

10). Did you do a kind deed everyday?

If you notice each of these questions started with; “did you” ……which indicates works as part of Salvation. Make no mistake about the Truth, God knows those who are His and everyone who Names the Name of Christ Depart from Iniquity! So many teach people need to do this or do that to be accepted by God. On the other hand, God says, Done, Done, Done when it comes to Salvation! You see God is Holy and will never “tolerate” sin. So because He doesn’t want anyone to Perish He satisfied His own Righteousness by Crucifying Jesus Christ His Only Begotten Son! Salvation is DONE! Jesus Paid for your salvation by taking your sins upon His Body and was nailed to a Tree. When You Turn and Trust He died and was Raised from the Dead, Bang, your saved! Jesus will then speak for you at the Judgment. In fact He already has judged you and declared you Forgiven! Walk in the Freedom of Righteousness! God’s Grace empowers us to Live a Holy life!!1462886_10201747966612920_1267519743_n

Good day everyone in the land of America. I want to write a short blog on one single verse from the Bible. I would say to everyone reading this to examine their faith and walk with Christ. If you find yourself being convicted by the Holy Spirit then you need only repent. Jude 1:4 “For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Clearly today in America “Christianity” has taken on a new philosophy, which is not new, that says everything is covered in Grace and we can just be ourselves. The Scripture I just posted says that there will be “ungodly men” that will turn the Grace of God into “lasciviousness” and they would even deny the Only Lord Jesus Christ in the process. WARNING! What you are about to read may indeed be shocking to you. I pray it is Shocking! Because anyone proclaiming Christ with their mouths and then talk like the devil needs to be Warned that God does not turn a blind eye to His Name being blasphemed by our lives or our mouths.

Let us define the word lasciviousness; 1. lacking legal or moral restraints; especially: disregarding sexual restraints 2. marked by disregard for strict rules of correctness.

So, lasciviousness is the opposite of Righteousness. It is a disregard for morals. It is FILTHINESS or uncleanness of thinking, talking and living. By the way Jesus said whatever a man thinks, that he becomes! So why would a “Christian” want to be unclean? Filthy mouthed? Immoral? Let me be Bold here, they CAN’T! If you have the Spirit of Christ in you there is no way you can “turn God’s Grace into lasciviousness” without some Holy Chastisement from the Lord! Paul put it this way; Romans 6:1 ¶ What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Answers to these questions is a resounding God FORBID! Now listen to this Warning Paul gave the Galatian Church and us; 5:19 “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” Did you read the WARNING? “ that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

Your manner of speech matters! Your lifestyle matters! Jesus Christ DID NOT die on the Cross so you and I could have a License to sin! By the way, Jesus Christ IS Grace! When we our IN HIM through Faith and we “continue” to sin He is right there with us!

I do want to tell you something. I am not saying you will go to Hell if you commit sin. What I am going to tell you is when you do sin it should bother you! If it does not bother you to sin then I will question your relationship with Christ! Judgmental? YES. DO I mind being Judged in the same way I just spoke? NOPE! Let us Live as Free men and woman! Not to sin but to live in Righteousness! Let us never fall for anyone turning the Grace of God into a license to sin, which is lasciviousness, nor be guilty of sinning against God with the Grace card! Think Righteous and do Righteously. Think uncleanly and do uncleanness! You are what you think! You are what you believe! You are of Christ then you are Righteous!46520_4034938064657_1205287887_n

God is Love! Huh?

God is Love

When Christians say “God is Love” what does that mean?
To define what Love is the Bible has much to say concerning this Attribute of God’s Character. First, what love is not. God’s Love is not the same love that humans experience. Humans are emotional beings by design and because humans are by nature corrupt, therefore Love is a feeling and not substance as with God. Human love is conditional for the most part. Love is not consistent with humans. For example, humans can be very much practicing love when things are going their way, then let something go contrary to them and love takes a back seat.

Now for God’s Love. Love is such an important part of God’s character that the apostle John wrote, “God is love.” This means that God holds the well-being of others as His primary concern. For a full definition of love, we must look at Scripture to see Love as Action. 1 Corinthians 13. This is what I will call the “characteristics of Love” God’s way!

love is patient
love is kind
love does not envy
love does not boast
love is not proud
love is not rude
love is not self-seeking
love is not easily angered
love keeps no record of wrongs
love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth
love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres
love never fails

These “characteristics of Love” is not possible for humans without the Spirit of Christ.
Study the life of Jesus. His sacrifice on the cross for the sins of others is the ultimate act of love. God’s love is not a love of emotion but of action. His love gives freely to the object of its affection, those who choose to follow His son Jesus. Let us look at some more definitions of Love.

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
1John 4:9 “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
1John 3:1 ¶ “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.”

So, when Christians say “God is Love” we know what and how to define what Love is and is not!

The church today is halted between two opinions. They do not know whether they want to serve the God who Crucified His Only Begotten Son to save them from their sins, or whether they want to pursue the idolatry and vain manner of living that is typical of American society today. What the Spirit wants to impress upon you this hour is that what passes for Christianity in the churches today is unacceptable to Him. No one can be in love with Grace and in love with sin at the same time. Paul addressed this in Romans.
Read closely. Romans 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:1 ¶ What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

So, is Paul by-polar in his Theology? First he said in chapter 5 verse 20 that when sin abounds grace will even more abound. I mean that is a sinners paradise! I can sin all I want and God’s Grace will cover the expense! Sadly many in our “Churches” live as if sin is OK because Christ already was Crucified to make payment. That statement ought to bring chills up our spine! Yikes. But how many times have I been told, “preacher, it’s OK, God will forgive me.” Countless. Way to many for my comfort and theirs as well I assure you. Christian, if I may be so bold, if you think Jesus Christ died on that Cross so you can “ continue in sin” you are in for a big surprise! Not a good prize either!

No, Paul is not by-polar in his Theology. He corrects the grace abounding when sin abounds statement in chapter 6. “How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” We can’t! Period! End of discussion! No one who died with Christ can “continue in sin.” So many have a problem with this. In fact I have preached this many times and have gotten some dirty looks. All I can say is this; If you do not like the truth about Grace and sin then take it up with God. It is Unacceptable to God for anyone to claim Jesus Christ and at the same time claim sin as their prized possession! Does this mean we won’t “struggle” with sin while still in the flesh? If you are still in the flesh you have not died yet and been Born again! The flesh always wants to sin. But Grace is Greater than all our sins! Grace gives us the power over sin! In fact Jesus Christ is Grace and He Atoned for all sin when He suffered on that Cross! So, are you focused on your flesh or on Grace? Don’t be halted between two opinions.

The Humbling of America

Is it possible that the Lord Jesus, who is God, is using corrupt leaders to bring Americans to their knees? I am 100% convinced of it. If I am wrong may the Lord Jesus rebuke me, for I am His and He is mine. I would like to simply put a few reference from the Scripture to illustrate the stated question.

First off let us look at Israel who is the God Chosen Nation to bring forth His Only begotten Son Jesus Christ. The Lord impressed the following Scripture to consider. Daniel 9:2 “In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

Here we see Israel brought into bondage as prophesied through the prophet Jeremiah. 70 years Israel would be ruled by ungodly kings. Why? Because Israel turned away from God who set them apart to be a Nation. Was not America set apart to be a Nation founded upon by the Providence of the God of Israel? Yes. Americans have forgotten from whence it came! Our Founding fathers of America prophesied that the America will fail if it turns away from God. If God founded Israel and put them under the bondage of wicked kings to Humble them will He not due the same to America? Yes.

Second, let us consider the following Scripture; 2Timothy 3:1 ¶ “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

Notice Paul states in verse 5 that they “Having a form of godliness” but denying the “power” thereof. Could Paul be referring to confessing Christians who talk a good talk but live as verses 2-4? I believe so.

Thirdly, what did God say He would do to people who “ who hold the truth in unrighteousness” as described in Romans 1? God said through Paul that He would give them over to a reprobate mind. Are we seeing a Nation of reprobates? Yes. Again, Paul is talking to Christians when writing Romans 1. Is God turning Americans over to their own Filth? Let God Speak. Romans1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness. Romans 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Indeed this is the folly of Americans who claim “In God we Trust” and say they are a “Christian Nation” and yet Immorality is at an all time high with no reversal in sight!

Consider this section of Romans 1; 26 “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” If this does not describe the Gay Pride movement in America may the Lord Jesus Rebuke me!

Other uncleanness in American Churches;

Romans 1:28 “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful.

I see this all the time and it breaks my heart. All of these sins are forgiven in Christ Jesus but yet all of these are ACTIVE in our Churches and society!

Last but not least, God is the bestower of Freedom and He is taking it away! The Lord Giveth and the Lord Taketh away, Blessed be the Name of the Lord! How can I saw this? Consider the following Passage; Galatians 5:13 ¶ “For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty (Freedom); only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” Do we see Christians love and serving one another or do we see “Christians using freedom that was given by God to indulged their flesh? I do see love and serving in the Church in America but I dare say the latter is overwhelmingly the majority! If God gave us Freedom it is to Righteousness not wickedness! The Lord God is taking away Freedom from America because America is Corrupted to its core with self-indulgence and immorality! I do not want any one reading this to agree with me but to rather consider what is written! Is America better than Israel? No. Did God Humble Israel by taking away their freedom? Yes Is the same thing happening to America? Yes. If you do not believe any of this that is OK. God will certainly have the last say in everything! American Christians need to stop Complaining about our Leaders in Washington D.C. And start Interceding for our Nation! Daniel did not whine and complain about the leaders who were wicked, so why should we? Listen to what Daniel prayed and maybe this can be a guide for us. Notice he includes himself while praying “we” referring to Israel. May we find ourselves turning back to God through Jesus Christ as He Humbles us as a Nation;

Daniel 9:3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

4 ¶ And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:

6 Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.

8 O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.

9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.

11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

12 And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.

13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.

14 Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.

15 And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

16 O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.

17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.

18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.

Image19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

It has been some time since I felt the leading from the Lord to write an article. This is certainly not the Lord being slack as we understand slackness but rather the circumstances of life that has had me quit busy. I have always enjoyed writing and putting the thoughts of my heart in reading format. So without hesitation let me share.

So many in Christendom have cleaved to Biblical ignorance as if it was a desired possession. The Bible says that His people perish without a vision or better translated, revelation! So let us be wise and not settle for self imposed ignorance! The Holy Spirit has been speaking to me all day concerning the days in which we find ourselves. The breath taking moral decline of America has many Christians wondering what is going on and how we got in the septic tank with worldlings who think evil is good and good is evil.

Let us look at Truth from the Old Testament and confirm it with New Testament Theology. First I will establish a plum-line that will measure what I am about to expound and keep us on the straight and narrow. Paul the Apostle will set the line very clearly for the rest of this article.

“1Timothy 4:1 ¶ Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter

times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits,

and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their

conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding

to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with

thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4 For every

creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused,

if it be received with thanksgiving:

5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.”

The latter times is upon us and the days of folks departing from the faith is increasing as we speak. The seducing spirit of uncleanness and moral bankruptcy is a predominant force of evil in our day with no end in sight. Doctrines of devils has seared people from feeling any brokenness over sin. It is almost to the point of boiling over and no-one seems to care about offending God! I am speaking of you dear reader who is more than likely a professing Christian. Let me remind you that the devil knows how to quote Scripture! Does it break your heart when you sin? Do you weep over the wretchedness that is still within you? Or have you been seduced by the worlds evil influence that nothing causes you to be broken before the Holy God who Created you in His Image? Harsh questions? Not so much. Let us now proceed the the Old Testament.

Genesis 6:5 “The LORD saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth

had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was

only evil all the time. 6 The LORD was grieved that he had made man

on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. 7 So the LORD said,

“I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth

men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds

of the air– for I am grieved that I have made them.”

You see in this Inspired text God was “grieved” to the point that His “heart” was filled with pain! Why? Because every inclination of the thoughts of man was evil all the time. Men had no brokenness. No remorse! No thought of loving their Creator! No thought of loving one another! They were calling evil good and good evil I am certain of that truth! So if God’s heart was broken and filled with pain because of wickedness, shouldn’t ours? When the Holy Creator saw the wickedness and how great mans heart was against Him, He had no choice but to destroy what He had Created. Sounds like America? Sure does to any versed Christian. It is note worthy that Noah found grace and was spared to carry out God’s Divine plan of restoration. Which brings me to the confirmation from the New Testament.

Jesus spoke very clearly to anyone who has ears to hear His voice concerning His soon Return! Listen to what Christ Jesus says concerning the days in which we live. Please tie it in with what was just written.

Matthew 24:37 “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming

of the Son of Man be. 38 “For as in the days before the flood, they were

eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that

Noah entered the ark, 39 “and did not know until the flood came and

took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

40 “Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.

41 “Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the

other left. 42 “Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.”

Did you catch what Jesus was saying? Just like the days of Noah before he entered the ark. Men were “eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage.” Life as usual with no regard to Righteousness! No thought of Holiness! You see today is just like the days of Noah. We have “Christians” who see gay marriage as a good thing. We have Christians who say murdering babies while in their mothers womb is a “free choice” and God wants us to be free, right? Wrong! We are Free to do what is GOOD and Righteous! Not to commit evil with no remorse! God Created male and female to be married! God Created them to marry and become One flesh! God Created Life! Every Life is Sacred to Him! From the time they are conceived He knows them! That is the Biblical Truth! Drugs, alcohol, pornography, profaneness, uncleanness, hypocrisy, gossip, slander, hatred, homosexuality, pride, lewdness…….are today’s preferred choice among professing Christians! How can I say such a thing? Christ said, “you shall know them by their fruit.” Most “Christians” will do most if not all the preceding and will do it in the Name of Jesus! Just “as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Well it seems as if Jesus is knocking at our door! It is as if I can hear the “trumpet” being raised to sound forth His Mighty Return!

Paul set forth a plum-line to keep us focused. “The latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils..” Genesis 6 set out to show us the hurt in God’s heart because every inclination of mans heart was evil all the time. Jesus then confirmed to us that His Return would soon follow when people become just like the people were in the days of Noah. The hardening of the heart of men is upon us! Wickedness is increasing and evil is becoming good and good is now evil. So what must we do? Glad you ask! We MUST trust in Jesus Christ! We must cling to the Bloody Cross and realize the power of His Resurrection! After Trusting in Christ death, burial and Resurrection we must “shun” evil and cling to Good! Let us not have self-imposed biblical ignorance and think we are “Christian” just because we talk Scripture from time to time! Let us Do what the Bible says and not merely listen to what it says! Let us “Walk” and “live” in the Holy Spirit and be “Holy” as He is “Holy!” People need to see Christ in us! That means love what He loves and hate what He hates! So, if you made it to this point in the article let me say Jesus Loves you and proved it by Dying on a Cross to Wash away your sins! He Loves you where you are but certainly doesn’t want you to stay that way! Jesus wants to Transform you into His Image! Jesus wants to Shine through you! Shun Evil and Cling to His Goodness!

Jeremiah 23:23 “Am I only a God nearby,” declares the LORD, “and not a God far away?

24 Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?” declares the LORD. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the LORD.

Only God sees all. The very motives of the heart God sees and He judges! God fills Heaven and Earth. There is no place to run and hide. Hebrews4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

25 “I have heard what the prophets say who prophesy lies in my name. They say, ‘I had a dream! I had a dream!’

26 How long will this continue in the hearts of these lying prophets, who prophesy the delusions of their own minds?

How many today do the very thing mentioned in v.25-26. Pride blinds these false teaches and self proclaimed prophets. No false prophet or teacher will ever think they are false. Self-deceit is their demise.

27 They think the dreams they tell one another will make my people forget my name, just as their fathers forgot my name through Baal worship.

This is amazing but true. So many today do not read the Bible but listen to prophets, preachers, teachers, Apostles….etc. Who are self appointed and not Called by Christ and lead many away from the Living God. Peter says it best: 2Peter 2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them– bringing swift destruction on themselves.

2 Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.

3 In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

28 Let the prophet who has a dream tell his dream, but let the one who has my word speak it faithfully. For what has straw to do with grain?” declares the LORD.

What is the straw – There is as much difference between the Will of God and their dreams, as there is between the straw and the grain! Dreams are one thing for some to share but should not be taken as God’s Will. However, if a prophet has God’s Word welling up inside, bring it forth like a torrent of rain!

29 “Is not my word like fire,” declares the LORD, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?

30 “Therefore,” declares the LORD, “I am against the prophets who steal from one another words supposedly from me.

It is easy to copy others words. What the Lord speaks to me for the people under my care, it is for them not for someone else. So many preachers “steal” other sermons from other preachers and say they come from the Lord. Some conspire together what to say to deceive the people, and so steal what they say one from another. This is damnable to say the least!

31 Yes,” declares the LORD, “I am against the prophets who wag their own tongues and yet declare, ‘The LORD declares.’

32 Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams,” declares the LORD. “They tell them and lead my people astray with their reckless lies, yet I did not send or appoint them. They do not benefit these people in the least,” declares the LORD.

33 “When these people, or a prophet or a priest, ask you, ‘What is the oracle of the LORD?’ say to them, ‘What oracle? I will forsake you, declares the LORD.’

The false prophets, and corrupt priests, would ordinarily mock the true prophets; and ask them what was the burden of the Lord. God Forsakes any who says, “what is the Oracle of the Lord?” Thus No one should say, “I speak the very Words of God!” God’s Word is Complete and there is no new “Oracles” of God different from what is Written!

34 If a prophet or a priest or anyone else claims, ‘This is the oracle of the LORD,’ I will punish that man and his household.

Making a Mockery out of God’s Word! His house-I will not only punish him, but his whole family. God takes His own Words very seriously and so should we!

35 This is what each of you keeps on saying to his friend or relative: ‘What is the LORD’s answer?’ or ‘What has the LORD spoken?’

36 But you must not mention ‘the oracle of the LORD’ again, because every man’s own word becomes his oracle and so you distort the words of the living God, the LORD Almighty, our God.

I will have you speak more reverently of me and my prophets. Must not Mention no more. Not in scorn and derision. For These false and irreverent speeches which are in every man’s mouth, shall be burdensome to them, it shall bring down vengeance upon them. Perverted because they have derided, the words of the living God.

37 This is what you keep saying to a prophet: ‘What is the LORD’s answer to you?’ or ‘What has the LORD spoken?’

38 Although you claim, ‘This is the oracle of the LORD,’ this is what the LORD says: You used the words, ‘This is the oracle of the LORD,’ even though I told you that you must not claim, ‘This is the oracle of the LORD.’

To my true prophet. You shall speak to them reverently. If they go on in their scoffing “’This is the oracle of the LORD” they will receive the rebuke of the Lord as mentioned earlier!

39 Therefore, I will surely forget you and cast you out of my presence along with the city I gave to you and your fathers.

40 I will bring upon you everlasting disgrace– everlasting shame that will not be forgotten.”

We see how much the Lord hates anyone using His Word to their own liking. He will bring them down into everlasting disgrace and shame!

Matthew 5:17 ¶ “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”

What does Jesus mean? Simply He IS the fulfillment of the all that is written about Him in the Old Testament. Jesus is NOT referring to the 10 Commandments being destroyed as we will see in the context of the following 3 verses.

Matthew 5:18 “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”

Ok, what does this verse mean? The Law, 10 Commandments, will never pass away. Because God is Eternal and they are a representation of His Holy character! The Law was added to show people their need of Mercy and Redemption! Without the Law people would not know what sin represents, rebellion against a Holy God! Also we know that Heaven and Earth will NEVER pass away or be Annihilated completely! So it is not possible for the Law to be destroyed. Again the Law shows us how crooked we are and Grace comes and straitens us out! The Gospel is powerless without the Law. People do not see their need of the Gospel without the Law!

Matthew 5:19 “Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

Simply put, Jesus DID NOT die on a cross so we can remain is our sins. Which by the way is breaking the Law of God! Jesus, the Prophets, Paul the Apostle, John, Peter……all taught the Value of teaching and preaching the Law. Not to give people the impression that they can work their way to Heaven but to show their NEED of Grace, which is Jesus Christ Crucified and Resurrected from the Dead! I do not want to be standing before Jesus and He say to me; “William, why didn’t you show people their need of me by the Law that I Established for that purpose.” No way do I want that. Also notice Jesus said they would both be in Heaven but it is more Glorious to God for us to Use all His Word! So many want to disregard the use of the Law. So sad. After the God Gave the 10 Commandments theses verses are written and confirmed in New Testament as well. Exodus 20:18 ¶ “And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. 19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. 20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.” Let us be called Great in the Kingdom of God by leading people to the Fullness of Holiness which will bring Glory to the Lord!

Matthew 5:20 “For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.”

The righteousness of the scribes and pharisees were based on self exaltation. They lacked Humility which is a Requirement for receiving the Righteousness of Christ on our record. What I mean by this is simple; Jesus said, “whoever exalts himself shall be humbled but whoever Humbles themselves shall be exalted.” This is what the pharisees and scribes were missing. Humility is Agreement with God. Can anyone be saved without agreeing with God that you have sinned and need Jesus? NOPE. Our Righteousness is Found Only in Christ Jesus through Faith!

A Question of Importance

There is a question that the Holy Spirit spoke to me about sometime back that I would like to address. Is it possible to go a full day without committing sin? First off I want to say that that question is not about our abilities or works but about who we are in Christ Jesus! We know the Bible says that when a sinner turns from their sinful ways and turns to the Works of Christ, His Crucifixion and Resurrection, as their only means of forgiveness and Eternal life through Trusting Him they will receive the Holy Spirit. By Faith in what Jesus did, His Finished work of Redemption, we are then adopted into the Family of God and become heirs of God and co-heirs of Christ. With that awesome truth I want to now address the question. Is it possible to go a full day without committing sin? Short answer is yes. Let me explain with Scripture. Galatians 5:16 “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” What did Paul just say? If we “walk” in the Spirit we will not “fulfill” the lust of the flesh (sin). I believe what the Bible says and it is clear; If we are focused on Righteousness, Christ, Holiness, the Living Word of God, we will not be focused on our flesh, sin. We always act upon what we dwell upon! We focus on sinful things we will act! If I were to say every time we “miss the mark” “fall short” “sin” is because we took our eyes off Jesus, would you question my theology or would you want to read on? I pray you read on for the icing! Listen to the following passage and see what it says concerning the topic; Hebrews 12:1 ¶ Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. 4 ¶ Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.”

We sure haven’t resisted sin to the point of shedding blood but we should, right? Yes! Why else would the Work of Jesus be important to us if it were not possible to go a day without sin? Let us read another passage; 1John 3:5 “And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”

Have you been Born of God? If you have you will not and cannot remain or continue in sin! This is a powerful truth. If we do not have a Godly desire never to sin again I am certain you have not been Born of God! Everyone Born of God will have a new desire to be Holy as He is Holy! Having the Holy Spirit in us gives us the Power overcome the power of the bondage of sin. This does not mean we will never fall into sin. Rather it means we have the Spirit and Power of Christ to never be in Bondage again.

Conclusion of the topic can only be summarized this way; Jesus took our sin Nature and nailed it to the Cross. We died with Him and cannot be in bondage to sin any longer. We should have a Righteous conscience and not a sin conscience.

1. He comes from among ten kings in the restored Roman Empire; his authority will have similarities to the ancient Babylonians, Persians, and Greeks [Daniel 7:24; Rev 13:2 / Daniel 7:7]

2. He will subdue three kings [Daniel 7:8, 24]

3. He is different from the other kings [Daniel 7:24]

4. He will rise from obscurity…a “little horn” [Daniel 7:8]

5. He will speak boastfully [Daniel 7:8; Rev 13:5]

6. He will blaspheme God, [Daniel 7:25; 11:36; Rev 13:5] slandering His Name, dwelling place, and departed Christians and Old Testament saints [Rev 13:6]

7. He will oppress the saints and be successful for 3 ½ years [Daniel 7:25; Rev 13:7]

8. He will try to change the calendar, perhaps to define a new era, related to himself [Daniel 7:25]

9. He will try to change the laws, perhaps to gain an advantage for his new kingdom and era
[Dan 7:25]

10. He will not be succeeded by another earthly ruler, but by Christ [Daniel 7:26-27]

11. He will confirm a covenant with “many”, i.e. the Jewish people [Daniel 9:27]
This covenant will likely involve the establishment of a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem
[see Dan 9:27; Matt 24:15]

12. He will put an end to Jewish sacrifice and offerings after 3 ½ years and will set up an abomination to God in the Temple [Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15]

13. He will not answer to a higher earthly authority; “He will do as he pleases”[Daniel 11:36]

14. He will show no regard for the religion of his ancestors [Daniel 11:37]

15. He will not believe in any god at all [except for himself] [Daniel 11:37]

16. He will have “no regard for the desire of women”: He will either be asexual or homosexual
[Dan 11:37]

17. He will claim to be greater than any god [Daniel 11:37; 2 Thess 2:4]

18. He will claim to be God [2 Thessalonians 2:4]

19. He will only honor a “god” of the military. His whole focus and attention will be on his military. He will conquer lands and distribute them [Daniel 11:39-44]

20. His arrival on the world scene will be accompanied by miracles, signs and wonders [2 Thess 2:9]

21. Either he, or his companion [The False Prophet], will claim to be Christ [Matt 24:21-28]

22. He will claim that Jesus did not come in the flesh, or that Jesus did not rise bodily from the grave
[2 John 7]. He will deny that Jesus is the Messiah [I John 2:22]

23. He will be worshipped by many people [Rev. 13:8]

24. He will hate a nation that initially will have some control over his kingdom, but he will destroy this nation [Rev 17:16-18]

25. He will appear to survive a fatal injury [Rev. 13:3; 17:8]

26. His name will be related to the number six hundred and sixty six—but not necessarily in an obvious fashion [Rev 13:17-18].

27. He will be empowered by the devil himself [Rev. 13:2]

The most Glorious Good news is the arrival of Jesus Christ who will destroy the works of the “Abomination that causes Desolation.”

2Thessalonians 2:8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.
9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,
10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,
12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
