The Humbling of America
Is it possible that the Lord Jesus, who is God, is using corrupt leaders to bring Americans to their knees? I am 100% convinced of it. If I am wrong may the Lord Jesus rebuke me, for I am His and He is mine. I would like to simply put a few reference from the Scripture to illustrate the stated question.
First off let us look at Israel who is the God Chosen Nation to bring forth His Only begotten Son Jesus Christ. The Lord impressed the following Scripture to consider. Daniel 9:2 “In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
Here we see Israel brought into bondage as prophesied through the prophet Jeremiah. 70 years Israel would be ruled by ungodly kings. Why? Because Israel turned away from God who set them apart to be a Nation. Was not America set apart to be a Nation founded upon by the Providence of the God of Israel? Yes. Americans have forgotten from whence it came! Our Founding fathers of America prophesied that the America will fail if it turns away from God. If God founded Israel and put them under the bondage of wicked kings to Humble them will He not due the same to America? Yes.
Second, let us consider the following Scripture; 2Timothy 3:1 ¶ “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
Notice Paul states in verse 5 that they “Having a form of godliness” but denying the “power” thereof. Could Paul be referring to confessing Christians who talk a good talk but live as verses 2-4? I believe so.
Thirdly, what did God say He would do to people who “ who hold the truth in unrighteousness” as described in Romans 1? God said through Paul that He would give them over to a reprobate mind. Are we seeing a Nation of reprobates? Yes. Again, Paul is talking to Christians when writing Romans 1. Is God turning Americans over to their own Filth? Let God Speak. Romans1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness. Romans 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Indeed this is the folly of Americans who claim “In God we Trust” and say they are a “Christian Nation” and yet Immorality is at an all time high with no reversal in sight!
Consider this section of Romans 1; 26 “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” If this does not describe the Gay Pride movement in America may the Lord Jesus Rebuke me!
Other uncleanness in American Churches;
Romans 1:28 “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful.
I see this all the time and it breaks my heart. All of these sins are forgiven in Christ Jesus but yet all of these are ACTIVE in our Churches and society!
Last but not least, God is the bestower of Freedom and He is taking it away! The Lord Giveth and the Lord Taketh away, Blessed be the Name of the Lord! How can I saw this? Consider the following Passage; Galatians 5:13 ¶ “For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty (Freedom); only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” Do we see Christians love and serving one another or do we see “Christians using freedom that was given by God to indulged their flesh? I do see love and serving in the Church in America but I dare say the latter is overwhelmingly the majority! If God gave us Freedom it is to Righteousness not wickedness! The Lord God is taking away Freedom from America because America is Corrupted to its core with self-indulgence and immorality! I do not want any one reading this to agree with me but to rather consider what is written! Is America better than Israel? No. Did God Humble Israel by taking away their freedom? Yes Is the same thing happening to America? Yes. If you do not believe any of this that is OK. God will certainly have the last say in everything! American Christians need to stop Complaining about our Leaders in Washington D.C. And start Interceding for our Nation! Daniel did not whine and complain about the leaders who were wicked, so why should we? Listen to what Daniel prayed and maybe this can be a guide for us. Notice he includes himself while praying “we” referring to Israel. May we find ourselves turning back to God through Jesus Christ as He Humbles us as a Nation;
Daniel 9:3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:
4 ¶ And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:
6 Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.
8 O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.
9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;
10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.
12 And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.
13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.
14 Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.
15 And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
16 O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.
17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.
18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.
19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
